Neuralink has taken the next step in putting chips in our heads -.

If you have no idea, Neuralink is a device that, if all goes according to plan, places a chip in your brain that can connect to computers, mobile devices and more, allowing you to control things like a mouse or send a text using nothing but your thoughts.

It’s actually an idea from the distant future, but it looks like the company is taking its next steps to make that future a reality. It recently made the announcement on Twitter that it had succeeded in convincing the FDA to allow human testing with Neuralink prototypes.

Currently, recruitment is not open for the company’s clinical trials, so that’s sad news if you want to be plugged into the matrix as soon as possible. Right now it looks like Neuralink is still in its infancy, so you won’t have to worry about chips in your head for a while.
