The Japanese brand Mazda recorded a new record of sales on the Romanian market, with almost 2,800 units sold, in the recently concluded fiscal year.

Mazda is enjoying an increasing success on the Romanian car market, both in the fiscal year that ended last month and in the three months that have passed since 2022, which is practically the last quarter of the fiscal year. In total, in the 12 months (April 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022) it sold 2,794 vehicles, with a 102% increase in sales in the first three months of 2022, compared to last year.

Mazda’s best-selling model was the CX-30, with 307 models sold in the first quarter. Mazda3 and CX-5 recorded 167 and 110 units respectively, ranking second and third. The first electric model of the brand, MX-30, recorded its first sales, being delivered to nine customers. Mazda is in the top of Romanians’ preferences

“We are glad to see that even in the first quarter the results are increasing, registering a doubling compared to the previous year. At the same time, we obtained a new sales record in the fiscal year that has just ended, with 2,794 units delivered throughout the country. The Mazda CX-30 remains the most appreciated and best-selling model in Romania, surpassing the other models in the range. I am confident that this year’s sales will also be supported by the Mazda CX-60 SUV, our first plug-in hybrid model, which consolidates Mazda’s transition to the premium segment “, said Cristian Rigu, Country Manager Mazda Romania.
