How much is your car worth: Dacia and Renault invite you to evaluation and upgrade

If you have been thinking about changing your car for a long time, but the solutions proposed by the Romanian state through the Rabla program do not delight you, there is an upgrade alternative from Dacia and Renault.

Starting this month, Renault officials have implemented a car appraisal platform and a mechanism by which you can take your old car in exchange for a car from the portfolio of the two brands. That way, you don’t have to worry about selling your second-hand car on various sites. In the case of Dacia, the platform is called Carculator and you can find it at this address. At Renault, we’re talking about Tradein.

How much is your car worth at Dacia

The evaluation process of your car involves a rather cumbersome series of questions, predictably, but it will also be completed by a face-to-face evaluation at a Dacia or Renault dealership. You get questions about the age of the car and the type of engine, but also particulars related to tire wear, for example.

It is important to note that the money that the two manufacturers offer you on the old car can only be used to purchase a new car from them. Don’t leave the dealership with cash. As an example, I did a simulation on a Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI DPF from 2011, and the amount offered by the online simulator was 6209 Euro.

Predictably, you can’t go to Dacia or Renault with very old cars. 2011 is the oldest year of manufacture for buyback cars, and the car must not have traveled more than 200,000 kilometers. The platform applies to both individuals and legal entities, but not to vehicles exceeding 3.5 tonnes.

Performing a calculation simulation is free and does not come bundled with any obligation for the person performing it online.
