Elon Musk has something to brag about again: Tesla figures show you are out of competition

Elon Musk continues to make the law in the field of electric cars with his Tesla cars. Production capacity is higher than ever, and the effects of the semiconductor crisis have not affected the growth rate proposed by the manufacturer.

As every three months, Tesla has published its financial results for the first quarter of 2022, and the figures are very gratifying for the world’s leading electric carmaker. Elon Musk took the opportunity to post a few messages on Twitter offering additional details on the company’s performance. The victory is all the more remarkable as the Tesla plant in China has stopped production several times due to the Covid-19 cases in the region.

Elon Musk and Tesla, a new victory worth celebrating

“This has been an exceptionally difficult quarter due to disruptions in China’s supply chain & zero policy cases of Covid,” Elon Musk said on Twitter in the context of the publication of the financial results of the company he runs. “Great work from the Tesla team and key suppliers saved the day,” the CEO continued on his favorite communications platform.

According to Reuters, Tesla delivered no less than 310,048 vehicles in the first quarter of 2022, up slightly from the previous quarter, but 68% more than in the same period in 2021. Wall Street analysts have estimated deliveries of 308,836 cars. In other words, the experts’ forecasts were exceeded.

If you like to see the empty half of the glass, it is worth noting that it produced 305,407 electric cars from January to the end of March, while in the quarter ended December 31, production was 305,840, a decrease of 433 cars .

In theory, Tesla is doing a great job of expanding its production capacity from one quarter to another, and growth in 2022 will be fueled by the new factory in Germany. Unfortunately, the situation in the Chinese pandemic sabotaged the company’s plans a bit, even if, in the end, it came out “on the plus side”. As a matter of fact, Tesla sold 295,324 Model 3 and Model Y in the first quarter of this year, while only 14,724 customers opted for the Model S and Model X.
