The Easter holidays are knocking at the door and I don’t think there is a more beautiful place in our country than the land of Transylvania. You can visit so many places in Transylvania, from tourist attractions to beautiful places in nature, with impressive landscapes or medieval cities full of history and legends.

A tour of Transylvania is the perfect way to make your dream vacation, at the beginning of spring. Sighisoara is probably the most beautiful city in Transylvania. The origins of Sighisoara date back to Roman times. In the 1st century AD, the Dacians (the ancient inhabitants of the territory of modern Romania who, eventually, will develop into the Romanian people) built a fortification called Sandava. Under the Roman administration it was known as the Castrum Stenarum. In the 12th century, the Transylvanian Saxons built a new fortress called Schäßburg. It is one of the few medieval cities in Europe still inhabited. Due to its architecture, dominant position and geographical ambience, the city has been nicknamed the “Pearl of Transylvania” since the end of the 19th century.

Brasov is also the favorite holiday destination of thousands of tourists annually due to the tourist attractions that the city provides. But it is not only in winter that it is worth going to Brasov. You can do mountain trails in early spring and summer, while also offering plenty of opportunities for relaxation and fun.

Obviously, you can also find museums, cathedrals, churches and mountain resorts in the beautiful Sibiu, with its impressive architecture. Sibiu was the European Capital of Culture in 2007, so all its buildings have been completely restored.

Oradea may also be the laughing stock in Romania which may be the best tourist destination in Europe in 2022. It is the only city in Romania nominated in the competition “Best European tourist destinations in 2022”. The competition includes 20 destinations based on the cultural offer. Oradea has been selected as a “must see & experience” destination in Europe due to the Art Nouveau architectural jewels, one of the most beautiful medieval cities, Oradea Fortress, a paradise of thermal waters.
