PNC 2023 to be held in South Korea

Video game developer KRAFTON has announced that the PUBG Nations Cup 2023 (PNC)a competition in which players compete in their national teams, will be held in Seoul, South Korea. The competition will take place from September 15-17 at the Sangam Colosseum.. The PNC 2023 will feature a prize to be distributed of $300,000.plus additional contributions of crowdfunding.

This is a unique event often used as an “all-star competition” that takes place within PUBG esports seasons. Instead of representing themselves and their organizations, players compete under national teams. Playing in the PNC 2023 does not affect the classification for the PUBG Global Championship.

The participating teams are. United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, United States, Australia, India, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Chinese Taipei (Taiwan), Japan and Korea.

The inaugural year of the competition, which was also held in South Korea, was 2019. Russia won the competition, with South Korea, Canada, and Vietnam placing second, third, and fourth, respectively. United Kingdom won in 2022; there was no PNC in 2020 or 2021.

Lately, PUBG has been betting big on partnership programs for esports teams. The title has a program Global Partner Teamwhich provides access to the teams associated with the PUBG Global Series (PGS)and there is also a program Regional Partner Team. Teams that are not part of the Global Partner Team program may qualify for the PGS through regional competitions.
