Honor of Kings to host Esports World Cup tournament

Video game developer Level Infinitehas announced that Honor of Kingsa MOBA for mobile devices, will organize a tournament with a prize pool of $3M for the Esports World Cup. In addition to the tournament, the two will join forces to launch a exclusive skin that players will be able to obtain.

In the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason, 12 teams will compete for a share of the prize money, as well as for the opportunity to qualify for the International Championship. to be held at the end of the year.

Level Infinite has also announced that a Chinese Honor of Kings team called. KPL Dream Team will be the first team invited to the Midseason Invitational. The roster is said to be made up of the top players from China’s King Pro League, Honor of Kings’ top-tier competition. More teams have yet to be revealed, but the winner of the Invitational Midseason will qualify for the Invitational Championship.

Announced in October 2023, the Esports World Cup will be an annual multi-title esports event to be held in Saudi Arabia with numerous titles hosting competitions. Participation in the Esports World Cup adds to Level Infinite and Tencent’s goal of strengthening Honor of King’s esports ecosystem in 2024. Last January, it was announced that its esports circuit would undergo major improvements, in addition to a $15M investment to grow the title globally.
