The trailer largely focuses on the new Beast Wars characters, particularly Optimus Primal.

The Transformers 7 trailer also features the return of Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime and gives details of the conflict between the characters.

The footage briefly shows the two new human characters, played by Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, with the focus instead on the introduction of the Beast Wars characters.

It appears that the story of Transformers 7 begins with Optimus Primal coming to Earth to warn Optimus Prime of the new threat.

Optimus Primal isn’t the only Beast Wars character featured in the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts trailer. Maximal also looks important and will be played by Ron Perlman.

However, this wouldn’t be a Transformers movie if it weren’t for Bumblebee and the G1 Optimus Prime design. Both autobots take up quite a bit of space in this trailer.

There are also a couple of shots of Mirage and Arcee, who seem to work closely with the human characters in the film.

The Transformers: Rise of the Beasts trailer, however, doesn’t show us much of the villainous Scourge, leader of the Terrorcons. However, there are a few brief glimpses at the end from which some conclusions can be drawn.

All in all, the trailer should motivate absolute fans of the Transformers franchise to eagerly await the release of the upcoming film next year.

You’ll be able to see the film in theaters on June 9, 2023.
