It’s Christmas Eve and we seem to be itching to take a trip to the streaming channels to see a Christmas classic, or maybe even a slightly newer themed movie.
Whichever way you go, as far as movie tastes go, find that HBO Max has a nice collection of Christmas movies – and newer ones, and older ones.
Movies only good to see on Christmas Eve on HBO Max
If you have an HBO Max account, it’s good to know that here, especially today, but also in the coming days, you can see A Chrismas Story, the nostalgic tale starring the lovable Peter Billingsley as Ralphie.
The even better news is that this year you even get a sequel to the 1983 story, called A Christmas Story Christmas. In case you were wondering, part two can be watched on the same streaming platform mentioned above and tells the story of a grown-up Ralphie.
Peter Billingsley returns to the title role after years. The actor began his career in the 1980s with roles in films such as Paternity and Death Valley.
The film goes for an action set in the 1970s and also stars Ian Petrella as younger brother Randy and Zack Ward as bully Scut Farkus. However, Julie Hagerty replaces Melinda Dillon as Ralphie’s mother.
Also here on HBO Max, you’ll see Elf, Gremlins, It Happened on Fifth Avenue, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Santa Camp, The Shop Around the Corner, A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas, Christmas in Connecticut or even Arthur Christmas.
As far as you can tell, you’re spoilt for choice, whether you like classic Christmas movies or perhaps those where the approach is a little more modern.
That said, Playtech.co.uk wishes you a happy holiday season. May your table be your table, may your house be your house! But perhaps even more importantly, may we all have a peaceful and uneventful Christmas.
