The Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday accused Ukraine of preparing an operation with “radioactive contamination” in Ukraine’s second largest city, Kharkov.

“The Ukrainian Security Forces together with the militants of the Azov battalion are plotting a provocation with possible radioactive contamination of the area near the city of Kharkiv,” the ministry said in a statement.

Likewise, the Ministry has indicated that “on March 6, foreign journalists arrived in Kharkov to record the consequences of the provocation, followed by accusing Russia of creating an environmental disaster”, as reported by the Russian agency TASS.
