Ben “BitBoy” Armstrong predicts Ripple to win in court and an unexpected major turning point in 2023.
Ben Armstrong, aka BitBoy, crypto-currency blogger and pro-XRP activist, has shared an extremely optimistic prediction for 2023. While the first part of the prediction was directly related to Ripple winning its case against the SEC, which has become a familiar pattern in the community, the second part of the prediction was truly surprising.
2023: The year the $XRP case ends and the Ripple curse is broken.
Also the year @GaryGensler is forced to resign from the @SECGov
– Ben Armstrong (@Bitboy_Crypto) January 1, 2023
According to Armstrong, the new year should be the year that the current head of the regulator, Gary Gensler, is forced to resign. Earlier last year, similar calls were made on social media, even before the collapse of the FTX crypto-currency exchange.
Less optimistic forecasts
Another pro-XRP activist and crypto-currency lawyer, John Deaton, sees a slightly different picture. He thinks the issue will be decided by a judge, without the pre-trial settlement that many in the XRP community are hoping for. Such an outcome makes the chances of crypto winning the case more uncertain. According to John Deaton, Gary Gensler will not make any concessions in this case and will admit that XRP is not a security.
Such stubbornness could prove to be a serious impediment to a positive outcome for Ripple and XRP, not to mention Gensler leaving his position. Nevertheless, judging by the various predictions, including those of those directly involved in the lawsuit, the outcome should be known in the coming months.
