Logitech launches MX Mechanical, the first in the productivity series with mechanical switches

Logitech has launched three new products in the famous productivity peripheral range, MX. Two of them are the MX Mechanical and MX Mechanical Mini keyboards, the first MX models with mechanical switches so far, along with the MX Master 3S mouse, a hardware overhaul of the successful model from a few years ago.

Logitech MX Mechanical brings low-profile mechanical keys to the productivity zone

MX Mechanical and Mini are similar models in design and functionality. They are built in a similar way to the G915 and G915 TKL gaming keyboards, with low profile mechanical switches. The Mini version, as the name suggests, is smaller, the size being reduced by removing the numpad on the right. Thus, the navigation arrows and productivity buttons on the right are arranged in a non-standard format.

The “standard” MX Mechanical keyboard has a standard button format. The keyboards are also wireless and have connectivity via Bluetooth or Logi Bolt technology, and can be configured via Logi Options +. Keyboards can be seamlessly connected to Windows, macOS, iPadOS, Android, Chrome OS and Linux. They benefit from shortcuts on the function buttons at the top for quick access to multimedia buttons, emoji or to set the brightness of the white LEDs behind the keys. Each keyboard can be connected to three devices simultaneously, and the switches are fast on the F1, F2, F3 buttons.

MX Mechanical and its Mini version are available in linear (red), touch (brown) or clicky (blue) switches. The price starts at 790 lei for the Mini version and reaches 890 lei for the “standard” version.

MX Master 3S is a minor hardware refresh

However, the MX Master 3S mouse is not a major upgrade over the original model. It retains the shape and functionality of the original, but adjusts certain features. For example, its sensor receives improved resolution from 4,000 to 8,000 dpi. Then the mouse buttons are now significantly quieter (90% say Logitech). The scroll wheel remains unchanged with MagSpeed ​​Electromagnetic technology.

Like the MX Mechanical keyboards, the MX Master 3S mouse arrives in stores in Romania in June. The price of this model is 630 lei.
