Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica: the model created for roads or circuit

Automobili Lamborghini presented Huracán Tecnica, an evolution of the basic model that relies on a new generation rear-wheel drive, turning rear wheels and low forward resistance.

The name Tecnica embodies the extraordinary evolution of the Huracán, which stands out instantly, both outside and under the hood, with the new silhouette accentuated by improved aerodynamics for increased performance, stability and ease of use, especially on the circuit.

“Huracán Tecnica condenses Lamborghini’s design and engineering expertise to create the perfect, fun-to-drive model that is as compelling on the road as it is on the track,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Lamborghini Automobiles.

Technical details

Taking over the engine from the Huracan STO, with a 30 hp increase over the Huracán EVO with rear-wheel drive (RWD), the powertrain offers 565 Nm of torque at a maximum of 6,500 rpm and an improved acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 3, 2 seconds. The recalibrated LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata) recalibrated system and distinctly tuned driving modes, with a specific suspension configuration, rear wheel steering and innovative brake cooling improvements allow the driver to experience a perfect Hurricane for every occasion.

Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica uses the 5.2-liter engine that delivers the same 640 hp as the STO for daily driving with maximum power and torque available whenever needed.

Weighing 1,379 kg, Tecnica offers a weight-to-power ratio of 2.15 kg / hp. The increased power is matched by a richer and clearer engine sound at higher revs, while inside the cockpit Tecnica offers improved acoustic comfort.

Designed for the driver

Depending on the selected driving mode – STRADA, SPORT or CORSA – each dynamic system is calibrated on the Technique to provide a very different response to each environment.

In the STREET, the rear wheel steering provides stability and maneuverability, complemented by torque vectoring and P-TCS. The engine and gearbox are both tuned for comfortable everyday driving in any setting.

When SPORT mode is selected, maximum driving fun comes from improved rear-wheel steering and improved P-TCS sliding threshold, while torque vectoring ensures agility and reaction Technique in the driver’s hands. The highly responsive powertrain responds instantly to acceleration.

In CORSA mode, the racing spirit of the car and the driver is awakened: the technique responds to every intervention of the driver with extreme precision, in the roar of the naturally aspirated Lamborghini engine. The propulsion system is calibrated to provide optimized track-driven acceleration response and the fastest gear changes, with the Technique demonstrating maximum accuracy and agility from all systems via LDVI, including maximum lateral and longitudinal grip from torque vectoring and P-TCS, respectively.

In addition to Tecnica’s exclusive options, Lamborghini’s Ad Personam department offers customers the opportunity to customize their Huracán Tecnica model with virtually unlimited color options and trim.
