MADRID, June 5. (Royals Blue) –
The Spanish Moto3 rider David Muñoz (KTM), who this Sunday has come back from the twentieth starting position to second place to achieve his first podium at the Catalan Grand Prix, has assured that he has focused on making his race and on overtaking “driver to driver” and in “pull hard” when you have been in privileged positions on the last lap.
“I still don’t believe it. I have known how to do what I know how to do and what they have told me, calmly and forward,” he told DAZN. “When you get here and you see yourself at the top you don’t think about anything and you go for your own thing. Since I started I’ve been in front, and when I saw that I was tenth I tried to pass rider to rider. On the last lap I pushed hard and finally, second,” he continued.
The Sevillian achieves success in his second race in the Motorcycle World Championship, after weeks of waiting to make his debut. “He didn’t even watch training, he was already bored, he didn’t know what to do,” he joked. “Since I started I have been very consistent, I usually stay in the front positions when I arrive. It has been like that until the last lap and the last corner,” he concluded.
