At least 7 dead and 15 injured in traffic accident in Peru

At least seven people have died and 15 have been injured in a traffic accident recorded in the Peruvian province of Quispicanchi, in the department of Cuzco, in the south of the country.

A minibus has overturned when it fell into a gutter when the driver lost his way while driving on one of the main Peruvian highways, as reported by RPP radio station.

Among the people who lost their lives were two minors aged 1 and 2 years old. The injured have been transferred to nearby health centers and the most seriously injured have been taken to the Regional Hospital of Cusco.

The victims are sympathizers of the regional political organization Inca Pachacuteq, who were traveling to the closing of their candidate’s regional election campaign.
