MADRID, 4 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has assured that there are “very clear indications” that war crimes have been perpetrated in the town of Bucha, near kyiv, and has considered that it is time for new and “very clear” sanctions, also in the field of energy.
Macron considers it “almost” confirmed that the Russian Army is behind the massacre of hundreds of civilians known this weekend, once the Ukrainian troops have entered some liberated areas on the outskirts of the capital.
The French president has advocated taking new steps and, although he has also appealed to “international justice”, he believes that it is time for “a new package of sanctions and very clear measures”, as he explained this Monday in an interview with France Inter.
“Now, it is time to coordinate with our partners, especially Germany,” he declared. Macron hopes to advance this cooperation “in the coming days” and, in addition to raising individual sanctions, has advocated attacking “coal and oil”, not gas at the moment.
