Rescue teams are trying to pull out a five-year-old boy who has fallen into a well in the Khaldak area of ​​Zabul province in Afghanistan, Taliban deputy spokesman Ahmadullah Wasiq said.
In a message published through his account on the social network Twitter, in which he has attached a video in which the rescue work can be seen, he has detailed that the child is in good condition.
Several Taliban authorities have traveled to the site, including Defense Minister Mohamad Yaqub, the governor of Zabul and other officials. In addition, a medical team is waiting in the area, while the rescue teams work “quickly”, in Wasiq’s words.
In early February, a five-year-old boy named Rayan spent 96 hours in a well in northern Morocco. He passed away despite the complex rescue operation that was launched.
