Sudan’s Central Committee of Doctors announced Wednesday the death of a demonstrator during an anti-coup protest in the capital, Khartoum.
“A moment ago a martyr lost his life (…) He was hit by a tear gas canister in the head and was run over by a vehicle following the forces of the system in the parades in the city of Khartoum,” the doctors’ organization has detailed on its Facebook account.
The death of this protester brings to 117 the total number of people killed since martyrs after the coup d’état that began on October 25 last year and ended the Sudanese democratic transition launched in 2019.
