Hip-hop stars Eminem and Snoop Dogg will perform an Otherside-themed show this Sunday at MTV’s Video Music Awards.

The show, which the press release describes as “aunique in its kind“, is being developed in partnership with Yuga Labs. The stage is expected to be transformed to reflect the design studio’s metaverse and NFT aesthetic. According to the release, this will be the first time an awards ceremony will host a metaverse-inspired performance.

The Otherside metaverse is the realm created by Yuga Labs, the company behind the popular Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT collection. Launched in April 2021, the project has been embraced by celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Jimmy Fallon and Justin Bieber.
