YouTube has had enough of adblockers on its platform -.

To avoid paying a fee for YouTube Premium while avoiding annoying 30-second ads, many users choose to use an adblocker while browsing YouTube.

This is something the video sharing site is looking to address. According to Business Insider, YouTube users have been seeing pop-ups informing them that adblockers are not allowed since June. YouTube has not gone beyond this, and if you click on the pop-up, you can still use the site with your adblocker enabled, but it is unlikely to last forever.

YouTube told Business Insider that it “had launched a global effort to encourage viewers with adblockers to allow ads on YouTube or try YouTube Premium for an ad-free experience.”
