In addition to high speeds, the new PCIe Gen 5.0 SSD is also 100 percent more energy efficient than Sandisk’s equally powerful PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD.

Availability

The WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe SSD is available through Sandisk.com, select retailers and e-tailers in storage capacities of 1 TB (suggested retail price 177.99 euros), 2 TB (suggested retail price 269.99 euros) and 4 TB (suggested retail price 493.99 euros).
The WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe with heatsink will be available this fall in storage capacities of 1 TB (suggested retail price 197.99 euros), 2 TB (suggested retail price 289.99 euros) and 4 TB (suggested retail price 513.99 euros). The 8 TB variant, with and without heatsink, is expected later this year.
