The Spanish MotoGP rider Maverick Vinales (Aprilia) acknowledged his illusion of competing this weekend in the Catalunya Grand Prix, his “home” race, on the ninth round of the season and in front of his fans, “the extra” he needs to compete.

“I am looking forward to starting the Grand Prix at home with my people, it is the extra I need. Montmeló is a favorable circuit for us. “I enjoy MotoGP. The championship is very exciting. All the manufacturers are very even. There is a need to polish aspects. Everything is different and new, I need time, but in a sport where time is everything we have to go fast and move forward,” he added about your performance.

Asked about his teammate, Aleix Espargaró, Viñales highlighted the good relationship they maintain. “The partner thing was always more taboo. At Aprilia we are managing to create a bond between everyone. We have different ways of riding, but the result is there. For them it is interesting to have two people who can ride differently and make the bike work,” he said. .
