RLJE Films has released a new trailer for Section 8, the upcoming action film starring veterans Dolph Lundgren and Mickey Rourke.
Directed by Christian Sesma, Section 8 brings you a story revolving around ex-soldier Jake Atherton who, after taking revenge for the murder of his wife and child, is sentenced to life in prison.
He gets a chance at freedom when he is recruited by the government organization Section 8 for an unofficial mission. However, he soon realizes that the agency is not what it seems.
The two are joined by True Blood actor Ryan Kwanten, who plays Atherton, as well as Scott Adkins (Doctor Strange, John Wick: Chapter 4) and Dermot Mulroney (Zodiac, Secret Invasion).
What you can see in the latest trailer for Section 8
The trailer begins with Atherton, who is locked up after taking the law into his own hands for the death of his wife and child. We can hear him declare that he “feels no remorse” for what he did.
Naturally, it isn’t long before a government agent tries to recruit him for Section 8, a secretive and rather shady organization.
As Atherton becomes more involved in the story, he realizes he has to turn against the people he works for.
After lending his voice to the recent animated feature Minions: The Rise of Gru, Dolf Lundgren hasn’t been idle, with his most notable films being The Expendables 4 and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
As for Oscar-winning actor Rourke, he is set to appear in French-Polish director Roman Polanski’s black comedy film The Palace.
The trailer, which you can see below, promises to entertain and infuse you with plenty of action and adrenaline.
Section 8 will be available in theaters and streaming on AMC+ starting September 23.
