VIDEO Gerard Burtler, “hero” again: when you can see Plane in cinemas

A trailer for Plane, the new film in which you can see Gerard Butler, has recently been released.

Butler is generally known for films like Den of Thieves and 300, but also many others, old and new. Plane shows us the actor returning to his niche, playing a pilot facing a life-and-death struggle.

Basically, the star has built his career on such roles, most notably in 2013’s Olympus Has Fallen, but also in the sequels London Has Fallen and Angel Has Fallen.

Plane tells the story of Brodie Torrence, a pilot trying to protect his passengers from jungle bandits after his plane crash-lands in the Philippines.

Originally distributed on the film’s official Twitter account, the trailer for Plane promises plenty of action, but gives away just about everything.

After losing track of some passengers following a kidnapping, Butler is forced to track down the group of bandits who took the passengers hostage.

Basically, from the trailer we can tell that the action of the entire film is tense. At first glance, Plan seems to be similar to other films in which we can see Gerard Butler acting. Overall, it’s safe to say that we won’t necessarily see anything new, but the film might work if you like the genre.

After all, one thing is pretty clear: the amateur audience of this genre doesn’t usually go to the cinema to see films starring Gerard Butler for their originality, but for the action and sense of suspense. Judging by the success of other films in the category, Plane is likely to find its niche audience right away and cash in big when it is finally released.

And speaking of releases, you’ll be able to see Plane in theaters starting January 27, 2023. It remains to be seen if the recycled recipe will work this time around.
