Ukraine announces creation of commission to regulate use of Western-supplied weapons

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski announced Tuesday the creation of a commission to regulate the use of weapons provided by the West with the intention of preventing propagandist accusations from Russia.

Despite the fact that so far Ukrainian troops have not been blamed for possible misuse of Western weapons, the Ukrainian leader has asked the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to implement the initiative presented by the head of the President’s Office, Andrii Yermak, to create such a commission.

“There was and is no basis for any claims to our state in this regard. Our partners are fully informed about how we use the provided weapons. But in order to eliminate any manipulation by Russian propagandists and those who help them in Ukraine, an additional parliamentary control tool will begin to operate,” Zelensky has wielded in his daily statement to the population of the country.

The parliamentary commission will include representatives of all factions and parliamentary groups, as detailed by the Ukrainian president.

On the other hand, Zelensky has warned Russian troops assuring that “no matter how they try to hide,” as the Ukrainian Army will attack them in response and “establish the identity of all Russian criminals guilty of terrorizing Ukrainians.”

“No matter how the occupants try to hide, the Ukrainian Armed Forces, our intelligence will still provide retaliatory strikes, and our state will establish the identity of all Russian criminals guilty of terrorizing Ukrainians,” he has declared, reiterating his call for his Western allies to brand Russia a “terrorist state.”
