The law has changed for all drivers in Romania: it happens with the rovinieta and it is very good news

In Romania, rovinieta is a significant source of stress for many drivers. If you are not careful, you can easily wake up with a hefty fine because you failed to pay it before you set off. Fortunately, from now on, there is a solution.

When it comes to the rovinieta, the Romanian authorities have thought of changing the legislation a bit in order to bring more money to the state budget from its acquisition, not from the fines granted to drivers. In this sense, according to the new measure, if you had a rovinieta with a validity of more than 30 days, you will be notified by email when it is approaching the expiration time.

Rovinieta, subject to money from the state, not a fine

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has made official that those who hold roviniete with a validity of at least 30 days will be notified around the expiration of roviniete. They will receive an email on this topic.

If the rovinieta is a foreign subject, it is worth charging this tax as giving you the right to use the car on public roads outside the locality. In the city, you don’t need a ruin.

The notification regarding the next expiration of the document will be made by email, to the address you used when you bought your previous rovinieta, before the actual expiration. This technical detail was mentioned in the MTI Order number 365/2022 and will enter into force on April 27, in just two weeks. Those who have a major problem sharing their personal data may still not enroll in this program.

“Distributors have the obligation to implement, within a maximum of 6 months from the entry into force of this order, the necessary changes so that the mobile phone operating systems, to ensure the users the possibility to be notified, by e-mail, regarding the expiration of the validity period of the rovinieta ”, it is written, more precisely, in the MTI order.

In the context in which the rovinieta can last for one day, seven days, 30 days, 90 days or a year, it is important to note that email notifications will be sent only in the case of those from 30 days onwards.
