The Big Bang Theory is one of the most appreciated comedy series of all time, the characters Sheldon, Leonard, Raj and Howard managing, from the first episodes, to gain ground in the hearts of fans.
Many have wondered, however, what the actors who play the four “nerds” are like and whether they resemble, at least a little, the characters in this comedy.
How are the actors in The Big Bang Theory really?
Jim Parsons (Sheldon)
Jim Parsons landed the role of Sheldon Cooper in 2007, and for twelve seasons his career skyrocketed due to the series. He won a Golden Globe and an Emmy for his performance. Parsons became the highest paid television actor by the end of the series, earning $ 900,000 per episode.
Parsons borrowed the voice of movie characters, such as Home, and narrated the spin-off series, Young Sheldon. He is much more than Sheldon Cooper; Parsons is a supporter of LQBTQ + rights, along with her husband, Todd Spiewak.
John Galecki (Leonard)
Behind the funny Leonard Hofstadter is the magnificent John Galecki. Although his acting career began long before this series, he managed to perfect himself in the role he played in The Big Bang Theory. Galecki also received an Emmy for her performance.
Most people don’t know that Galecki started his career in the comedy series Roseanne in the ’90s. Like his colleague, he earned $ 900,000 per episode in the show’s last three seasons, making him one of the highest paid TV actors. When Galecki is not filming, he plays in a band.
Kunal Nayyar (Raj)
Like his character, Kunal Nayyar was raised in New Delhi, but the resemblance ends here. In real life, Nayyar has a beautiful wife, with whom his character’s parents would certainly agree. Like Howard, Sheldon and Leonard, Nayyar’s character has appeared in every episode of the series.
By the end of The Big Bang Theory, Nayyar was earning $ 750,000 per episode.
Simon Helberg (Howard)
Although many associate Simon Helberg with his character’s outdated clothing style, but also with his pants too tight, the actor is much better dressed in real life. Helberg’s career began after he landed a role in the comedy The Big Bang Theory, from where he took off “to the stars.”
He is married to actress Jocelyn Towne.
