The esports organization M80 has announced that tennis pro Daniil Medvedev will join its ownership group. The amount of Medvedev’s financial commitment to the company has not been disclosed.
M80 has shared that the tennis player will advise the organization on sponsorships, community growth and share his expertise in sports psychology with the various M80 teams. On the other hand, he is an avid gamer, his favorite game is Rainbow Six: Siege and he regularly ranks on the leaderboards, as well as being part of the title ambassador program since August 2023. It also works with HyperX.
The organization currently has professional teams in Rainbow Six: Siege, Counter-Strike, Rocket League and Valorant. It also supports the professional gamer of Street Fighter V EndingWalker.
His achievements as a professional tennis player are numerous, Medvedev is currently the No. 3 tennis player in the world according to the ATP rankings. Over the years he has won 20 international tournaments, including the 2021 U.S. Open, and in 2022 he spent 16 weeks as world No. 1.
As an avid player and competitor, joining M80 gives me the opportunity to combine my experience. Just like in tennis, success in eSports requires mental toughness and dedication. Marco and the team have created one of the most exciting esports brands in the world, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the growth of the company and offering fans more ways to engage with M80.
