Team Liquid unveils its new 25th anniversary T-shirt

Fans will be able to purchase the new T-shirt in the Team Liquid store starting April 4. Its design is minimalistic, with Liquid’s signature blue color, light blue details and a simple crew neck. The organization’s anniversary emblem is prominently displayed on the center chest.

The emblem is inspired by the “medieval crests of yesteryear,” relating to the organization’s original medieval and fantasy-inspired branding. It features Liquid’s horse in white on a blue shield adorned with a decorative header to highlight the organization’s history.

For years, our co-founder, Victor Goossens, was better known as Nazgul, a name taken from Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings. Our Shield of Six Mane logo also comes from Tolkien, from the old TL.net banner image.

Although the emblem will be used on Liquid’s social media and branding throughout the year, the organization has indicated that this is not a permanent rebranding.

Team Liquid has grown to become one of the most notable organizations in eSports, with members in numerous titles, including Counter-Strike, VALORANT, League of Legends and Dota 2. It also runs Liquipedia, one of the most widely used wikis in the gaming world, and has three esports training centers around the world, in partnership with gaming peripherals brand Alienware. For its 25th anniversary it has already made several expansions. The team returned to competitive Overwatch and signed two chess players, Fabiano Caruana and Magnus Carlsen.
