Teardown launches new creative mode for PC – That’s Gaming

It’s time to start creating! Today Creative Mode comes to Teardown, the fully destructible, voxel-based sandbox heist game from Tuxedo Labs and Saber Interactive. Revealed at the PC Gaming Show and available as free update 1.4 on Steam, Creative Mode offers a fun new way to play, giving players the tools to add customizable voxels directly into the game and create crazy designs.

Creative Mode allows players to effortlessly build new objects of all shapes and sizes in Teardown, using a variety of voxel materials, including wood, brick, metal and more. From there, you can easily save, spawn, move and duplicate the fruits of your labor. Creative Mode can be accessed by entering any level in Sandbox Mode and then selecting Creative Mode from the menu.

In addition to Creative Mode, Update 1.4 also brings new changes to Teardown’s API, giving modders even more powerful tools to build their own in-game content. For the first time, modders can create scripts to rearrange and manipulate shapes by dynamically adding and removing voxels during gameplay. This opens the door to entirely new worlds in Teardown, where seeds can grow into trees, buildings can construct themselves autonomously, vehicles that collect rust can be created, and any other real-time transformation the community can think of!

Creative Mode is also coming to Teardown when it is released later this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Experience the full 40-mission story campaign, the “Art Vandals” expansion for the campaign, special challenges and Sandbox Mode, plus a curated collection of the community’s best mods, a console-friendly user interface and haptic feedback on PlayStation®5 DualSense controllers.
