Russia claims to have destroyed a stockpile of arms and ammunition delivered to Ukraine by the U.S. and European countries

The Russian Government has assured this Tuesday to have destroyed a warehouse of weapons and ammunition delivered to Ukraine by the United States and European countries in the framework of a bombing in the locality of Belenki, located in the Odessa region (south).

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said the attack was carried out with “high-precision weapons” and added that five ammunition warehouses in Vasiukovka, Velikayta Novoselka, Novoalexandrovka and Pokrovskoye were also destroyed, Russian news agency Interfax reported.

Thus, he added that about 200 alleged members of the far-right Right Sector group have been killed in attacks on the town of Kamishevaja, in the Zaporiyia region, while confirming the destruction of two fuel depots in Soledar and Novgorodskoe.

“Russian air defense systems shot down an Air Force Mi-24 helicopter in Pokrovsky in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have also been shot down in the vicinity of Peschanoe, Petropavlovka, Topolskoe and Izium in the Kharkov region,” he stressed.

The war in Ukraine broke out on February 24 following the invasion order signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who days earlier had recognized the independence of the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Lugansk (east), the scene of an armed conflict since 2014.
