The Russian Army has announced this Saturday the death of about twenty “American mercenaries” in an air strike in the Ukrainian region of Kharkov, in the east of the country, within a series of bombings executed during the last hours that would have killed about 300 fighters of the Ukrainian forces.
According to the main spokesman of the Russian Army, General Igor Konashenkov, the attack, carried out with “high-precision weapons”, occurred in the vicinity of the locality of Andreevka, a small town located just in front of Donetsk, halfway between the strategic cities of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.
In addition to these “mercenaries,” the shelling has killed another 80 Ukrainian troops, members of the ultra-nationalist Kraken formation and other foreign paid fighters, according to the additional statement published by the Russian Defense Ministry on its website.
In addition, General Konashenkov has reported that another Russian shelling has killed about 200 Ukrainian fighters in the Dnepropetrovsk region, an attack that has “almost completely” destroyed the battalion of the 110th territorial defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he said at a press conference reported by the TASS news agency.
As far as infrastructure is concerned, Russian forces reported early this morning the downing of a drone over the main Black Sea fleet building in Sevastopol, with no personal injuries reported.
Crimean Governor Sergei Aksionov confirmed the activation of anti-aircraft defenses in the western area. “The target was destroyed without casualties or damage,” he has said on social networks, in a message in which he has also called for calm among the population, according to TASS agency.
To this must be added, again according to the Russian Army, the destruction of 13 Ukrainian rockets targeting the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station in Kherson.
