MADRID, Feb. 13 (Royals Blue) –
The Spanish rider Pol Espargaró (Repsol Honda) has recognized that having been the fastest on the final day of the Mandalika pre-season test makes him arrive with “confidence” at the start of the MotoGP course at the Qatar Grand Prix, and has highlighted the importance of having found “rhythm and feeling with the bike”.
“I am very satisfied with how this preseason has gone and especially here in Mandalika. It is good to get the fastest time, but the most important thing is our pace and the feeling with the bike, I can ride as I want,” he said in statements provided by his team.
In addition, the man from Granollers congratulated HRC and the Repsol Honda team for “all the work done during the winter”. “They have put in a lot of effort and the results are showing. Normally on hot tracks like here and Sepang I have to put in a lot of effort, but now we are leaving after having done two good tests and we have been able to find something for long runs and in our speed at a back,” he said.
“Yesterday we were able to solve a little problem that we had and it has really helped us with the speed over one lap. Now it’s time to rest a bit and prepare for Qatar, my confidence is good and I’m already looking forward to starting.”
