The POCO brand has announced its new smartphone with high-end specifications, the F4 GT model, a kind of “flagship killer” combined with a gaming phone. It is configured with some of the most powerful components on the market, but also with dedicated functions for running mobile video games. POCO offers many of the advantages of the Xiaomi 12 series on this model, but at a more affordable price.

For example, the internal configuration of the POCO F4 GT is very similar to that of the Xiaomi 12. We are talking about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset from Qualcomm, along with 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. The phone also comes equipped with a 6.67 ”AMOLED screen with Ful HD + resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate protected by Gorilla Glass Victus from corning. For better gaming response, touch is recorded at 480 Hz, while the screen brightness can be adjusted to 1920 Hz. With a brightness of 800 nits, however, this will not be the brightest screen on the market.

All of them are powered by a 4,700 mAh battery, which allows fast charging at 120W, one of the most powerful on the market. And yes, the 120W charger is bundled with a power cord. The headphones are missing, though, but they haven’t been a “standard” accessory for several years now.

The camera system is less important on a gaming phone like the POCO F4 GT, so we don’t expect top performance from a 64-megapixel camera without optical stabilization, with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. megapixels.

The phone introduces special gaming capabilities

However, the special gaming capabilities are very interesting. For example, on the right side, the POCO F4 GT includes two magnetic triggers that can be used in games, which can be hidden when not in use. This capability was originally developed by Xiaomi for BlackShark phones. The phone is also equipped with four speakers with Dolby Atmos, for the clearest and loudest possible sound, but also with a cooling system called LiquidCool 3.0. Last but not least, the CyberEngine vibration system should be able to render the actions in the game as convincingly as possible.

POCO F4 GT was announced in color variants: black, silver and yellow. However, the phone will come to Romania in a single version, the one with a black case. Also, only one configuration option will be available in our country: the one with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The launch in local stores will take place on May 20, and the recommended price is 3,399 lei. Xiaomi says that in the first three days of availability, May 20-22, the phone will be sold at a promotional price of 2,999 lei.
