OnePlus 11 Pro appears in first unofficial images, with alert slider and new camera mode. PHOTO

As we’ve become accustomed to over the past few years, the design of OnePlus’ next flagship, the 11 Pro, has hit the internet via 3D images based on official specs, presumably intended for accessory manufacturers. As usual, the source is OnLeaks, and the images show a smartphone evolving in the same direction we’ve been seeing for a couple of years now on devices from Oppo’s secondary brand.

OnePlus 11 Pro will retain partnership with Hasselblad

The OnePlus 10T was a return to the origins of the OnePlus range, a flagship killer that compromises where necessary and possible to still deliver a flagship user experience. But it looks like the next phone, the OnePlus 11 Pro will once again go in the direction of a true flagship with top-notch capabilities.

While we don’t know much about the hardware configuration, we can expect Qualcomm’s best performing chip at launch, which will most likely be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The screen looks to finally be a flat one on a Pro model from OnePlus, something many will appreciate as the public has started to move away from phones with curved edges. Next, the images reveal the return of the slider for audio profiles, something that was missing from the OnePlus 10T and justified by the very fast charging at 150W and the internal components needed for that. So it’s possible that the OnePlus 11 Pro won’t come with such powerful charging.

On the back, the camera module transitions from one similar to the one on Samsung phones to something a little different, which keeps the position but changes shape. The cameras are now framed in a circle, and the Hasselblad branding is now placed centrally.

Of course, all these details could change between now and early next year, when the phone is expected on the market. The OnePlus 10 Pro was first released in China in January and only came to Europe in the spring. It’s likely this strategy will be repeated in 2023.
