OnePlus 10R, MediaTek chipset-ready, faster than the higher-priced Qualcom equivalent

Funnily enough, prepared by the Chinese manufacturer using the codename pickle, the OnePlus 10R is proving to be a credible alternative to premium and even flagship phones.

Expected after the middle of this year, the OnePlus 10R would come equipped with the Dimensity 8100 chipset, the high-frequency version of the Dimensity 8000 solution, fast enough to offer a credible and possibly cheaper alternative to the already launched Snapdragon 888-based phones.

Far from being a compromise solution, OnePlus 10R would come in versions with 8GB or 12GB RAM, respectively 128 / 256GB internal storage with UFS 3.1 format.

The list of features would be completed with a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD + screen, operating at a refresh rate of 120Hz. The sound is played using stereo speakers, but the absence of a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack is noticeable.

The main configuration of the photo configuration is a 50MP camera with optical stabilization, powered by the Sony IMX766 sensor. The recipe is complemented by an 8MP ultrawide camera (Sony IMX355 with optical stabilization) and a 2MP macro camera. At the front, the 16MP camera should be enough for most situations.

OnePlus 10R

As for the battery, OnePlus 10R comes in two equipment variants, with 4500mAh and fast charging at 150W, respectively 5000mAh and 80W charging. If they already seem familiar, it’s just because the specifications can be found on Realme GT Neo3, the product of another brand owned by the same parent company, BBK. Another expected phone with similar specifications is the OnePlus Nord 3. It remains to be seen what the launch event scheduled for March 31 will present.
