The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (Aesan) has warned this Friday of the presence of. milk, soy and wheat not included in the labeling of three batches of potato chips baked and seasoned with salt of the brand “Lay’s“(Pepsico) manufactured in Belgium.
The Aesan recommends to the people allergic to soy or milk components and to persons with problems resulting from the ingestion of gluten who may have the aforementioned product in their homes to refrain from consuming it. It has also been emphasized in a statement that it does not pose any risk to the rest of the population.
The Agency has confirmed that it has been made aware of this presence through the European Food Alert Network (Rasff) and that the company responsible for marketing the product has made a link available on its website to inform consumers of the incident.
Three batches of this product packaged in 150 gram bags and with a best-before date of February 4.
The initial distribution, according to Aesan, has been to the autonomous communities of. Andalusia, Asturias, Balearic Islands, Cantabria, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Valencia, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Murcia and the Basque Country.
The competent authorities of the autonomous communities have been informed through the Coordinated Rapid Information Exchange System (Sciri). Rasff has also been notified to verify the withdrawal of the affected products from the marketing channels.
