Famous actor Mickey Rourke is currently in Romania for a new film.
Rourke is not the first, and most likely not the last, actor to set foot on Romanian soil to film scenes for the various films he is starring in.
The most recent example of this is the series Wednesday, an absolute hit on Netflix. Among others, the team filmed at Cantacuzino Castle, at Dinamo Basin, and at the train station in Sinaia.
Returning to Mickey Rourke, the artist is currently in Oradea, where he is filming for the project 21 rubies, owned by priest and filmmaker Ciprian Mega.
What we know about the film Mickey Rourke will star in, shot in Romania
The film will also star Anthony Delon (you guessed it, Alain Delon’s son), Elisabetta Pellini, and a number of Romanian actors: Magda Catone, Răzvan Vasilescu, Dorel Vișan, Corina Moise or Ela Ionescu.
The film tells the story of Nina, a prosecutor at the beginning of her career.
The uncertain political situation in late 2022 puts the woman in the public eye and she quickly becomes targeted for the position of Attorney General, but everything depends on the decisions made by Michey Mandovanis (played by Mickey Rourke). This is the Secretary of State of the United States Government.
Nicoletta Delalachiessa (Elisabetta Pellini), one of the representatives of the European Commission, enters the picture.
At the same time, Nina has to cope with her relationship with Yuri (Anthony Delon), but also with the artistic turmoil which is giving her no peace.
Admittedly, if you’re not necessarily a fan of the genre, the script doesn’t seem to say much, nor does it seem to attract much attention.
However, as we are adept at watching films and then drawing conclusions, all we have to do is wait for the film to be released, and then we can more fully understand “what the poet meant”.
Laura Mega and Silviu Ciobanu serve as producers, and Liviu Mărghidan will handle the image. As executive producer, the position is shared between Natalia Neag and Kimberly Hines.
Sound will be provided by Mihai Bogos and editing by Corina Stavilă.
