The union Metges de Catalunya (MC) has delivered this Thursday to the Parliament some 54.344 signatures of a manifesto calling for “urgent” measures to right the course of healthcare.
The secretary general of the union, Xavier Lleonart, has stated that it is a latest “warning cry” and assured that if there is no change, it will not be possible to avoid a “great mobilization” of the collective in the not too distant future.
“The discomfort and indignation of the medical staff is enormous, A spark is enough for a revolt to break out,” he said in an appearance from the Parliament. The doctors, and the manifesto, demand to invest more resources, hire more professionals and improve their working conditions.
