LVP to produce Spanish-language VALORANT Champions 2023 for Spain and Latin America

LVP (GRUP MEDIAPRO) will produce for Riot Games the international signal for the Spanish-speaking public of the VALORANT Champions, the tournament that will bring together the best teams in the world of the popular shooter. The competition will take place in Los Angeles between the August 6 and 26.

After the success of the LOCK//IN Sao Paulo and Masters Tokyo global broadcasts in Spanish, the VALORANT Champions will repeat the format: the broadcast will take place entirely from the LVP studios in Mexico and will feature on-camera casters from both the Rising MediaMarkt Intel from Spain and famous Latin American commentators. The entire competition will be available on Riot Games’ official VALORANT channels on Twitch: valorant_es and valorant_la.

VALORANT Champions 2023 will feature 16 teams, including four representatives from EMEA: FNATIC, Team Liquid, FUT Esports and Giants, the only Spanish team in the competition. The tournament will kick off on August 6 with a group stage of four teams each and a double elimination format (GSL), and from which only the top two will advance to the playoffs, which will begin on August 16. Giants will play their first game on Thursday, August 10 against Edward Gaming. The other matchup in the group will be KRÜ esports against Paper Rex.

The competition features prominent teams from Asia, such as DRX or T1, and from the Americas League, such as Evil Geniuses, NRG and LOUD. VALORANT Champions will distribute $2.25 million in prizes, of which $1 million will go to the champion.
