Halo has announced its esports plans in 2026 following the departure of the Halo Championship Series (HCS) from Halo Infinite. As part of these plans, Halo Studios has partnered with ESL FACEIT Group. to host an open tournament in DreamHack Birmingham in 2026.
As part of the agreement between the studio and ESL FACEIT Group, both parties will collaborate to “continue the legacy of the grassroots competitive scene” by hosting tournaments featuring a variety of Halo titles. DreamHack Birmingham 2026 will feature 4vs4, 2vs2 and all vs. all tournaments. Prior to the 4vs4 event, online qualifiers will be held to determine the teams that will compete at the NEC from March 27-29.
Halo has been a part of DreamHack for nearly a decade and has always provided an unforgettable experience for the gaming community.

In addition to DreamHack Birmingham, the franchise will also be present at another DreamHack event in 2026. The video game festival and HCS have not yet revealed details of the second event in which the title will participate. In addition to DreamHack, Halo has also partnered with LVT and the European Halo League for other grassroots initiatives.
Halo Esports Partner Teams
In addition to partnering with ESL FACEIT Group for DreamHack, the HCS has joined forces with four North American esports organizations. 2025 world champions Shopify Rebellion, Spacestation Gaming, FaZe Clan and Cloud9 have partnered to bring more action to the community throughout 2026. Details of the community-focused initiatives have yet to be revealed.
Despite the lack of a competitive esports circuit for 2026, it is clear that Halo Studios is committed to supporting the community through a variety of grassroots tournaments and collaborations in Europe and North America.
