Italy registers 468 deaths from coronavirus, its highest daily figure of the fourth wave

MADRID, Jan. 25 (Royals Blue) –

Italy has confirmed this Tuesday 468 deaths from coronavirus, its highest daily death toll since the fourth wave began, representing a total of 144,343 fatalities.

The health authorities have in turn reported 186,740 positives after carrying out 1.3 million tests in the last 24 hours, placing the positive rate at 13.4 percent. In total, just over ten million cases have been diagnosed since the start of the pandemic.

In relation to the hospital situation, there are already 20,027 people admitted, among whom there are 1,694 in intensive care units, while another 230,500 have been discharged this Tuesday, according to the Civil Protection report.

Regarding the vaccination plan, since its implementation, 124.7 million doses have been distributed, which means that 47.1 million people -87.2 percent of the population over twelve years old- – already has the complete pattern, while 30.6 million have the third reinforcement.
