Google’s operating system for smartwatches Wear OS receives a small update. The focus is on revamped tiles, but one feature is only useful for US customers.

The Google I/O 2023 developer conference was a few weeks ago and focused primarily on new smartphone releases; Smartwatches, on the other hand, received nothing in terms of new models.

After all, new functions have been promised for the Wear OS operating system, which is the basis for many Android smartwatches.

Wear OS update: New tiles for Spotify

As already announced at the I/O conference, Google is bringing three new tiles for the music streaming service Spotify, which should find their way onto smartwatches with the upcoming update.

One of these tiles is aimed at the podcast listeners among you, which can be used to display new episodes of the podcasts you subscribe to. From here, users should have faster access to the current episode.
