The red notice allows South Korea to receive assistance from global law enforcement agencies in locating and “provisionally detain a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action“.
Global Manhunt for Terraform Labs CEO
Just weeks after South Korean authorities issued an arrest warrant for Do Kwon and his associates, global law enforcement agency Interpol launched “a manhunt” and issued a red notice for the co-founder of Terraform Labs. The issuance of the notice follows reports that Kwon does not reside in Singapore as initially believed by Korean authorities.
According to Interpol, the red notices are “issued for fugitives wanted either for prosecution or to serve a sentence“. The red notice allows South Korea to receive assistance from global law enforcement agencies in locating and “provisionally detain a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action“.
The silence of Do Kwon
South Korean prosecutors are charging Do Kwon and five other Terraform Labs affiliates with violating the country’s capital markets law. Kwon also faces other charges that prosecutors have not disclosed.
In his first response to reports that Korean authorities had issued an arrest warrant for him, Do Kwon insisted in a Sept. 17 tweet that he was not at large. Instead, he claimed that he was cooperating with “any government agency that has shown an interest in communicating“.

The CEO of Terraform Labs has not issued a response to reports that Interpol has issued a red notice. Earlier yesterday, Kwon responded to a tweet that said. saying: “[Do Kwon] where are you hiding, fam?” Do Kwon replied that he “wrote code” in his “salon” and said to the individual to come and visit, and that they should have a cigarette soon.
Missed this one.
Come visit, we’ll share a cig soon!
