Garena has officially unveiled the long-awaited Free Fire Esports 2025 roadmap.. As in 2024, the upcoming season will include regional and international tournaments, such as the Esports World Cup and the prestigious Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals. With a well-structured 12-tournament roadmapFebruary will mark the start of the pre-season events, culminating in the FFWS Global Finals in November.
Key international events in 2025
The Esports World Cup will take place in July 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This year will allow fans to attend the FFWS Global Finals, scheduled for November, where the world’s best teams will compete for the championship.
In 2024, Garena hosted two prestigious global tournaments with a prize pool of $1 million each. The FFWS Global Finals, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, were won by Brazilian team Fluxo Esportswhile the Indonesian team RRQ won second place.
Regional Competitions and Qualification Pathways
Under Garena’s 2025 competitive structure, there will be spring and fall seasons in five major regions: Southeast Asia (SEA), Brazil, LATAM, Middle East and Africa (MEA) and Pakistan.. These events will offer slots to the best teams from each region to participate in the international events.
Southeast Asia
- Preseason Event: February 2025
- Spring Season: April to June 2025
- Fall Season: August to October 2025.
Brazil
- Preseason Event: February 2025
- Spring Season (Season 2): April – July 2025
- Fall Season (Season 3): August to October, 2025
LATAM
- EWC Qualifier: April to June 2025
- FFWS LATAM: August – October 2025
Middle East and Africa
- Mid-Season Clash: April to June 2025
- FFWS MEA: August to October 2025.
Pakistan
- Local Qualifier 1: April to June 2025
- Local Qualifier 2: August to October, 2025
The Esports World Cupscheduled between June and August 2025 in Riyadh, will be one of the highlights of the Free Fire Esports 2025 season. The previous edition saw Team Falcons to be crowned champions, while EVOS Divine took second place.
In addition, Garena plans to boost the competitive aspect by organizing FFWS pre-season events in Southeast Asia and Brazil. These events will give teams an early boost in the season and allow them to qualify for future World Cup of Esports.
