Lego has worked with Formula 1 before, as in the past we have seen the Danish toy company collaborate with McLaren to create a model of one of its former F1 cars. As we get closer and closer to the 2024 season, Lego and F1 have unveiled an extensive collaboration that includes a variety of products.
The largest set of the bunch is a model of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas W14 car. There are actually two sets for this car, one is a larger and technical model and the other is smaller and easier to build. The more complex adult model would be a 1:8 scale set. The larger model costs €219.99 / $219.99 and the smaller one €26.99 / $26.99.
Following this, the Lego Speed Champions series will be expanded with a McLaren F1 car that is said to be a smaller and more family-friendly version of the set that debuted in 2022. This set is on sale for €26.99 / $26.99.
To mark F1 history, the Lego Icons series introduced the McLaren MP4/4, developed in collaboration with McLaren Racing and the Senna brand. This set even comes with a minifigure of Senna who can sit in the cockpit of the car. This set has a value of €79.99/$79.99.
Finally, the Lego Speed Champions series also adds the BMW M4 GT3 and BMW M Hybrid V8 cars as a set with two minifigure models to drive the vehicles. This double set costs €49.99 / $44.99.
All sets will launch on March 1, 2024 and are available for pre-order now.
