Esports World Cup launches mobile application

The Esports World Cupa multi-title sporting event organized by the Esports World Cup Foundationhas launched a mobile application. The application allows fans to to consult the results of the tournament and see the events taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The creation of an app for the EWC will ensure the best possible experience for fans, both those attending the event and those watching from home. In addition to offering live broadcasts and an overview of the tournament schedule, the app will also will allow fans to purchase tickets for the remaining competitions.

The inaugural Esports World Cup began in July and will run for eight weeks. Remaining tournaments include Apex Legends, Fortnite, Street Fighter 6 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The event distributes $60M in prize money between 21 tournaments and its club competition.

The Esports World Cup Foundation, organizer of the EWC, is backed by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund. This has drawn criticism from teams and industry stakeholders due to Saudi Arabia’s human rights record.

The Esports World Cup has been an unprecedented success, with top clubs and top players playing matches in elite, can’t-miss tournaments that have captivated gamers around the world. The app has immediately become the go-to place for everyone on the ground for all the EWC news, and I know the same will be true for many other like-minded gamers around the world.
