An earthquake of 5.2 intensity on the Richter scale has shaken this Wednesday the region of Valparaiso, in central Chile, with no information about personal injuries for the moment.
The National Seismological Center has reported that the epicenter of the landslide is located 118 kilometers west of the municipality of El Tabo, 30 kilometers deep, and that it has occurred at 17.21 hours (local time).
The Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Chilean Navy has indicated that the earthquake has not met the necessary conditions to generate a tsunami on the coasts of the country.
No injured persons, structural damage, or basic services interrupted by the earthquake have been reported.
