DiabloBuildsthe popular Diablo fan site, has unveiled their second Race to World First (RWF) event, for the. Diablo 4 Season 1 update release.
The event, in which participants will compete to become the first player to reach level 100, will be sponsored by training platform Metafy, beverage brand Rogue Energy and technology company Elgato. Activations have not yet been disclosed.
Events “Race to World First” events became popular in the MMO World of Warcraft. when “guilds” began broadcasting their races to be the first to complete the latest raids in the video game. In the latest edition of the WoW Race to World First, notable organizations like Team Liquid, Method and Echo created guilds and signed sponsorship agreements for the event. The popularity of this type of event has grown in recent years.
The growing popularity of the concept has carried over to Diablo 4. Diablo 4’s Race to World First Eventwhich was launched last month, had more than 140 competitors y generated over 1M unique viewers on Twitch. during the entire event.
