HereticsLabsthe first accelerator in the world of esportslaunches its second call for applications, which will begin in September. The accelerator is looking for three projects whose value propositions conform to ideas that can revolutionize the esports sector.
One of the first barriers to entrepreneurship is the lack of funding and mentoring. Therefore, Team Heretics, a consolidated esports club in Spain, launched in July 2022 the first accelerator in the world of esports. The purpose of this project is to grow vertically and invest in the talent of young entrepreneurs who want to break with what stops them from entering the industry.
Along with Team Heretics, the project is joined by investment funds such as. Sevenzonic Ventures, Kfund and AllIron Ventures. who will contribute their expertise through strategic mentoring. The projects are expected to have a holistic view of the market and what they can contribute to the sector while being profitable.
In its efforts to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem, HereticsLabs accelerator bets one more year on the search for seed stage projects. and rewards them with 100,000 euros in Media 4 Equity as well as internal resources to launch their idea to the market.. The support ranges from communication and marketing plans, content production to advice on their value proposition and business model.

After a first edition that was very well received, HereticsLabs has already become the support for the launch of the first two winning startups in 2022. The first project was Proidols, a company that promises to revolutionize the market of collectibles with utility through exclusive drops that allow to have esports idols at home and that launches its first edition at the end of 2023; and a second project called Emogg, which owns a technology capable of recording live the emotions of players, content creators and audience. Following the boost from HereticsLabs, the startup is already working with its first customers.
Requirements to join the program
With this new edition, HereticsLabs aims to add a total of three new startups participating in the program to the esports ecosystem. Being one more with respect to the previous call, this increase reflects the interest on the part of the team to contribute to the growth of the entrepreneurial scene within eSports.
To participate in the program, the project does not need to have a consolidated business plan. Applications will be considered if they present a revolutionary idea that is related to the esports sector and that is at a seed stage. That is to say, it has not yet been launched on the market and they are willing to do so with the support of Heretics. Registrations to participate in this edition of HereticsLabs are open until July 15, 2023.
